Salsa is a great product to sell as a part of a fundraiser. It's healthy, which means people do not feel guilty buying it. Salsa also keeps in the cupboard for a long time, which means people can buy it now and save it for an occasion that calls for salsa. But how do you make sure you sell as much salsa as possible during your salsa fundraiser? Here are some key tips to follow.
Keep the prices reasonable.
If you have control over how much you charge for the salsa, make sure your organization does not charge too much. Yes, you need to make money with every sale. But if you push your luck and charge too much, you'll just turn off potential buyers. A good way to start is to look at the prices of salsa at local grocery stores. You can charge a little more than the stores; people expect this since it's a fundraiser. But keep the margins relatively low so your salsa actually sells.
Offer more than one variety.
People have preferences when it comes to their salsa. Some really like it hot. Some hate hot salsa and will only eat mild. So, it's a good idea to offer a variety of types. Three or four options are plenty. This allows customers to pick their favorite, but there are not enough options to make buyers feel overwhelmed.

Offer multi-jar discounts.
Since salsa can keep for so long when unopened, you'll probably have customers who are interested in stocking up or buying some extra jars for later. Offer a discount for larger quantities, and you may encourage even more customers to buy in bulk. For example, you could offer $3 off for anyone who buys 5 jars, or $6 off for anyone who buys 10 jars.
